NCWE 2026 Annual Conference

We’re excited to announce that Grouptrail will be exhibiting at the 2026 National Council for Workforce Education Annual Conference, October 20–22 in Palm Springs, California.

NCWE brings together community college and workforce education leaders from across the country—exactly the people working every day to create better pathways between education, training, work-based learning, credentials and meaningful employment.

At our exhibit this year, we’ll be sharing how Grouptrail can help colleges bring the many moving pieces of that work together.

One configurable platform for workforce education

Workforce education rarely happens in just one department or one system.

A college may operate adult education and ESL programs, short-term noncredit training, Workforce Pell programs, internships, apprenticeships, employer partnerships and other workforce initiatives—all with different enrollment processes, staff, funding requirements, data systems and reporting needs.

Grouptrail provides a configurable operating system for bringing those programs and workflows together.

Adult education. Noncredit workforce. Workforce Pell. Work-based learning. Apprenticeships.

Instead of forcing every program into the same rigid process, Grouptrail can be configured around how each program actually works—while connecting learners, staff, employers, data and outcomes across the institution.

At NCWE, we’ll be highlighting four areas where colleges are using or exploring Grouptrail.

Give learners a better digital front door

The learner experience often starts long before someone officially becomes a student.

Grouptrail can give prospective and current learners an easy way to:

  • Register for programs and services
  • Enroll in classes and training
  • Schedule orientations, advising or other appointments
  • Complete forms and submit information
  • Pay for classes when applicable
  • Receive email and text communications
  • Stay connected as they move through a program

For example, Grouptrail supports learner-facing adult education workflows with Buffalo Public Schools, including appointment scheduling for adult education and ESL services and enrollment and payment workflows for adult CTE offerings.

The goal is a simple experience for the learner—with the full operational workflow happening behind the scenes for staff.

Operate adult education and noncredit programs

Adult education and noncredit workforce programs often have needs that don’t fit neatly inside a traditional student information system.

Grouptrail can help teams manage:

  • Intake and eligibility
  • Enrollment and cohorts
  • Advising and case management
  • Attendance
  • Forms and documentation
  • Goals, milestones and credentials
  • Email and text outreach
  • Staff tasks and follow-up
  • Dashboards and reporting

And because Grouptrail is configurable, different programs can have different workflows while still operating within one platform.

Prepare for Workforce Pell

As colleges develop and seek approval for Workforce Pell programs, the challenge goes beyond offering an eligible short-term program.

Institutions also need operational processes for managing participants, documenting program requirements, tracking completion and credentials, integrating institutional data and reporting employment and other outcomes.

Grouptrail can provide the operational layer around those programs—from enrollment through outcomes—while connecting with the systems colleges already use.

Workforce Pell is also closely connected to the broader work NCWE colleges have been leading around high-quality short-term workforce education and credentials connected to good jobs.

Manage work-based learning and apprenticeships

Workforce education increasingly extends beyond the classroom and into workplaces.

Grouptrail helps colleges coordinate the relationships and workflows involved in:

  • Internships
  • Apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeships
  • Work-based learning experiences
  • Employer partnerships
  • Student placements
  • Hours and participation
  • Supervisor evaluations
  • Documentation and approvals
  • Completion and outcome tracking

At Sinclair Community College, for example, Grouptrail supports the college’s work-based learning operations by bringing students, employers, experiences and staff workflows together in one system.

Connect programs instead of creating more silos

What ties all of these use cases together is the learner journey.

A learner might begin with adult education or ESL, move into short-term workforce training, earn an industry credential, participate in an apprenticeship or internship and ultimately transition into employment or additional education.

Those experiences may cross several college departments.

The technology supporting them shouldn’t make that journey harder.

That’s why we’re approaching workforce education as a connected ecosystem rather than a collection of unrelated software products.

Grouptrail is the configurable operating system for adult education, noncredit workforce and work-based learning programs.

It gives learners a digital front door to access opportunities while giving staff the workflows, communications, integrations and reporting needed to help people progress toward their goals.

If you’re attending the 2026 NCWE Annual Conference, stop by our exhibit and tell us what you’re working on.

Adult education? Noncredit workforce programs? Workforce Pell? Internships? Apprenticeships? Employer engagement?

We’ll show you how that workflow could look in Grouptrail.

We look forward to meeting workforce education leaders from across the country in Palm Springs and learning more about the programs you’re building.
